We have "finalized" plans to attend AGU conference as a group. Two hotel rooms have been booked and the van will drive students to (on Sunday) and back from (on Saturday) the meeting. Let Jascha Polet and Rachel Hatch know if you are planning to attend the meeting, so that the club and the department can help organize and plan practicalities.

Julie Leiva has prepared a list of general suggested events and talks to attend at this meeting (with a one-page summary to carry with you). You should make sure to read this advice on things to do before/during and after a conference. This advice on attending the AGU meeting from a newcomer might also be useful to you.

We are organizing another AGU CPP diner, more info on this Facebook page.

Abstract deadline has closed. Housing and registration is open. Early registration fee (pre November 14th) is much cheaper (graduate student:$215, undergrad:$105), so make sure to register early! In order to receive the member rate, the registrant must become a member by 14 October 2014.

Also consider attending the Student & Early Career Scientist Conference pre-AGU, which will "provide opportunities for networking and workshops on sharpening your career skills". Register for the AGU Student and Early Career Scientist Conference in the online registration system. The registration fee is $25 for the conference and $10 for the happy hour that follows.
